U.N.E.S.C.O. Conference concluded on December 10th. Budget fixed at 6,000,000 dollars plus 950,000 dollars expenses for Preparatory Commission and this Conference. This is the reduction in budget proposed by the Preparatory Commission and reflects modification made in programme during the Conference.
Contributions for Member States will be fixed by the Executive Board following negotiations with the Governments, and having regard to the decision of the United Nations Assembly. Many Organisation and Finance matters are left to the Executive Board and its Standing Committee on which Walker is a Member. The Standing Committee meet on January 10th and the Executive Board on April 8th. Next General Conference will be in Mexico City.
