I have the honour to acknowledge receipt of your request made to the Government of Australia to act as Indonesian nominee on the United Nations Committee of Three set up by the Security Council.
[2] The Australian Government throughout has offered help in bringing about a peaceful settlement in Indonesia in any way it can, and it therefore is willing to accept your request in an endeavour to find a lasting and peaceful solution to the Indonesian-Dutch dispute.
