United Kingdom authorities fear that in the event of India refusing transit to K.L.M. aircraft, Dutch may seek permission for K.L.M. aircraft flying Holland to Batavia to land at Mauritius and Cocos Island.
2. When informally asked Australian view, I replied that Government’s attitude would depend on the Security Council action but even without action by the Council I thought Australia would generally dislike taking any action to circumvent such Indian decision which would be regarded as legitimate.
