Recent exchange of letters between Minister for External Affairs and Siamese Foreign Minister can be regarded as indication that we are in normal diplomatic relations with Siam. [2]

Patton, Adviser to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as to whether there was any news on question of recognition 2 Eastman informed the Siamese Foreign Minister in these terms on ‘9 July 1948.
