Palar has telegraphed Bangka that Sukarno’s letter 4th March (K.280 [1] paragraph 5) created ‘dangerous confusion’ at Lake Success. He, therefore, asks for a public re-interpretation ‘in order to freeze situation on an International level’.

2. Following Commission’s visit to Bangka yesterday 10th March the Republicans submitted a further memorandum which has been telegraphed to Security Council today (see following enclair telegram [2]).

3. The adjournment of the B.F.O. meeting (K.282 [3]) was not held yesterday as planned but has been postponed indefinitely. East Indonesian Delegation appears to be awaiting outcome of Security Council debate.
