Mr Bruce [1] has asked me to reply direct to your most secret and personal telegram to him of 30th September concerning the position resulting from the Soviet-German agreement. [2]

Both points raised by you are included in urgent examination of the situation being carried out here and I will telegraph further at the earliest possible moment. [3]
