We are informed by Fraser’ that your Government is favourably disposed to despatch the first group of your force on or about 9th January. Should be glad if you would confirm this in order to permit us to arrange for despatch of our own group in time to join convoy. I should be greatly obliged for an immediate reply enable me to advise London.
