The United Kingdom Ambassador at Moscow [1] reports that at 7 p.m.

today, M. Molotov summoned him and the United States Ambassador [2] in order to tell them at 5 o’clock he had sent for the Japanese Ambassador [3] and had told him that from tomorrow, 9th August, the Soviet Union would consider itself at war with Japan.
